Time Processing Services
Time processing services forms the majority of our work at Thrust Belt Imaging. For some projects, the final deliverable is a time migration. For others, time processing is the foundation for a superior depth image. Over the last 21 years, we have refined our time processing workflow with experience in over 40 countries in a wide variety of geologic settings.
Fundamental Parameters: Statics and Velocities
The two fundamental parameters of onshore time processing – statics and velocities – remain the focus of our workflow. To calculate statics, we create a near-surface model and use our TWS (time weathering solution). We evaluate many refraction and reflection solutions, often comparing results on migrated images before finalizing our decision. Velocity analysis on structured land is highly interpretive. We evaluate stacking and time migration velocities interactively, working closely with the client to ensure we incorporate their geologic understanding.
Processing & Proprietary Technology
We use the suite of noise attenuation, signal-processing and interpolation algorithms in SeisSpace/Promax. We supplement this with proprietary tools, such as our Tau-p domain coherency filter, to further enhance the imaging.
Client Collaboration
We prioritize communication and collaboration on all our time processing projects. We find that we get the best results when the clients are actively involved, providing interpretive feedback to guide our processing.
