As part of our longstanding commitment to support the resource-exploration industry in Colombia, we are thrilled to announce the launch of a new seismic-processing company, called TBI Colombia SAS. TBI Colombia will have an office in Bogotá to better serve our clients’ needs.
Thrust Belt Imaging (TBI) is a global leader in seismic data processing in land environments. Since 2004, TBI has reduced exploration risk in complex-structure basins throughout Latin America and around the world. Our first project outside of Canada was in Colombia in 2005, and Colombia continues to be the largest active geologic setting in our project portfolio. We are committed to improving our seismic-imaging technology and services to the Latin America region and a local office in Bogotá will be integral to that success.
TBI is also pleased to announce the addition of José Olaya to our technical and management team, as President of TBI Colombia. José comes to us with a broad range of experience, starting with seismic processing in Colombia and expanding to a variety of technical geophysics roles overseas. He will be a strong technical asset as well as a collaborative business partner. As Mr Olaya works to build TBI’s Bogotá office, TBI Colombia has the full support of technical and computing resources of our Calgary office.
The new office is located in Edificio 93-40, near Parque 93.
